Jim is an experienced and accomplished Mining Professional with considerable time spent directly in mining, and has had an impactful consulting career as well. A Queen’s University Alumni, Jim and John Tribe founded “The Professional Supervisor” Training Program in association with Queen’s University in 1991. This program has evolved considerably since the beginning, but in all forms has made a positive impact on participants. From that date to the present time, over 5,200 people have come through this program, a remarkable number! Having spent a number of years at a very large coal mine in Columbia, Jim speaks fluent Spanish and delivers the program in Spanish on a regular basis.
In addition, Jim has been and continues to be involved in a number of Junior Mining Companies and enjoys the challenge of starting new companies, creating high performing organizations, and advancing properties towards and achieving production status.
